Final Exams will be on Tuesday, March 13, and Wednesday, March 14.
The Final exam will be multiple choice, and will have approximately 50-60 questions.
You can also bring a 3x5 note card (3 inches by 5 inches) with writing on ONE SIDE ONLY.
It needs to be handwritten (not typed or photocopied), and you'll turn it in with your exam.
You can write formulas, practice problems, concepts, etc. on the card.

You will have the yellow sheet (above) to use on the final exam.

Fall Term Chemistry A!



FINAL EXAMS will be on WEDNESDAY and THURSDAY, November 29 and 30.
The schedule is on the school website. Every class meets on wednesday and every class meets on thursday.
ODD EXAMS (period 1/3/5) are WEDNESDAY.
EVEN EXAMS (period 2/4) are THURSDAY)

The final exam will be mostly multiple choice, but it will also include "free response" questions on the following:
1) Lewis Dot Structures (you'll have to draw 4-6 Lewis Dot structures)
2) Stoichiometry.

The quiz will cover reactions and Stoichiometry.
Reactions: Be able to write chemical equations for single replacement, double replacement, combustion, and combination reactions. Be able to write phase subscripts and balance the overall reaction. A solubility chart, ion sheet, and activity series will be given. (see worksheets 8.1 - 8.5, and the back of WS 9.0.)
Stoichiometry: Be able to do stoichiometry calculations, like on WS 9.1, 9.2, and 9.3, and the Nails Lab.
Know the formula for percent yield.
